This journey was exceptional… The length of the trip was perfect… The glacier hike was amazing. I’d recommend that to others. I also really enjoyed the people on the trip, it brought together an interesting and inspiring crowd. The trip was well designed. I felt like I was able to see a lot of Iceland’s iconic sights. Our guide, Christine Hoodith, was fantastic. She managed to quickly turn a disparate group of strangers into compatible traveling companions who truly enjoyed not only the tour but each others’ company. Chrissy is a talented guide, able to mix a commentary of scenery, culture, politics and history into a fine balance that gave the tour depth without being pedantic. She has a gift of getting to know each of her “charges” and makes you feel known and safe. When one of our companions developed a serious health issue at the end of the tour, Chrissy was there to help and see them through a difficult time. Even when the tour ended, she continued to help them through the ordeal and continues to see them and stay in touch…I recommend her services highly and would use them myself in London again.
