The Art & Artists of
Southern France
March 15 - 25, 2025 | Maximum Group Size: 20 Participants | Availability: Open
Discover the artistic heart of Southern France on a journey filled with culture, history, and stunning landscapes. Designed exclusively for Randolph College, this tour brings to life the inspiration behind the works of Van Gogh, Cézanne, Matisse, and other artistic greats who were drawn to the region’s radiant light and vibrant colors. With overnight stays in three distinctive locations—chic Nice, historic Arles, and the peaceful medieval village of Camon—you’ll uncover the rich tapestry of Provence and the French Riviera.
Your adventure begins in Nice, where the Mediterranean coastline and lively atmosphere provide the backdrop for visits to the Chagall and Matisse museums, celebrating the legacy of these visionary artists. In Arles, step into Van Gogh’s world as you explore the city’s Roman landmarks, bustling markets, and the golden-hued landscapes that inspired his genius. The tour concludes in Camon, a picturesque village nestled among rolling hills and vineyards, offering a tranquil escape to immerse yourself in the serene beauty of rural France.
From the dazzling Riviera to the pastoral charm of Provence, join R-MWC alumnae, Randolph College alumni, family, and friends on this extraordinary exploration of Southern France. Celebrate the enduring creativity and timeless beauty of a region that has inspired generations of artists.
